The practice of Peter Tierney Lawyer merged with Warren McKeon Dickson Pty Limited on 1 July 2011 becoming WMD Law. The firm has evolved over the years and has over 20 years of local history.
The firm currently employees 2 lawyers, Julie Duce and Louise Allery who have over 50 years experience between them. Both Julie and Louise have family from the area. Both lawyers and their support staff, many of whom grew up in the area, have a strong involvement in the community with local sporting and community organisations.

Julie specialises in the areas of probate, estate administration and contested estates matters under the Family Provision and Succession Acts, both in ACT and NSW jurisdictions. Julie also practises in conveyancing and commercial leasing and litigation. Julie is originally from Canberra and has extensive experience in a variety of estate issues and as a mediator endeavours to provide to her clients alternative dispute resolution options. She is a member of the NSW and ACT Law Societies and has delivered corporate seminars in the areas of estate and retirement planning.
Louise grew up in regional NSW and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in 2000. She worked as a banking and finance lawyer for 10 years in both Australia and overseas before relocating to the Far South Coast five years ago. Her practice at Peter Tierney & Associates takes advantage of her commercial and finance law background and includes corporate and commercial law, rural and property law and also includes a more recent area of interest, Family Law. Following on from her postgraduate studies she has practiced extensively in Family Law and can provide advice and assistance to resolve all property and parenting issues. Louise has served on the NSW Law Society Committee for in-house lawyers as well as various banking industry committees and is a member of the Law Council of Australia Family Law Section.
Nikkita grew up in Merimbula and completed her HSC at Eden Marine High School. Nikkita studied Conveyancing Law & Practice through Macquarie University and became a Licensed Conveyancer in 2010. Nikkita has been practicing in conveyancing since leaving High School and brings eight years experience to our team. Nikkita is also a Justice of the Peace.
Tamara has recently moved to our Bega office from Sydney after working as a paralegal for over seven years. She has assisted in estate planning and contested estates, family law, employment law, criminal law, insolvency, property law, and civil litigation. She also
has significant experience in debt recovery matters. Tamara has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, is a Justice of the Peace in NSW and is in the final year of her legal studies before admission as a solicitor. Tamara is involved in several social justice groups and appreciates the importance of legal advocacy for the community.
